The Center is open to the community.  Siblings of enrolled children will be given preference over staff children and staff children will be given preference over new applicants.  Part-time spaces (3 or 2 full days) may be available in the Junior II, III and Senior programs.  Acceptance for a part-time space will depend on our Center’s ability to pair the desired attendance schedules to create one full time slot. In the event that such a pairing cannot be established or maintained and there is a waiting list for full-time slots, the part-time family will be given the option of taking a full-time slot or withdrawing from the center within thirty days.

Availability in Sr. III (pre-kindergarten) and toddler classes (16 - 24 months.)

Enrollment applications are available at the Center’s office.  Your signed and completed application must be returned with a $75.00 application fee. The application fee is non-refundable regardless of whether your child is accepted into the program or is placed on a waiting list.  Upon acceptance into the program, a $100.00 enrollment fee is due. A security deposit equivalent to one half of the monthly tuition payment is due when your child starts.  The security deposit will be applied to the last tuition payment.  The first tuition payment is due on your child’s first day of attendance at the Center.

Virginia licensing requirements require pre-enrollment of your child prior to the first time your child attends the Center.  No child can be admitted to the Center without being pre-enrolled.  Therefore, you will need to complete a pre-enrollment package containing:

• A general information/release form,
• Development history,
• A Health form,
• Acknowledgment of Center policies,
• Emergency medical form (must be notarized),
• Field trip authorization form,
• Medical Liability form.

Proof of identity (birth certificate) must be presented within seven days of the child’s first day. The health form must be completed by a physician and must certify that your child has received a current physical examination and all age appropriate immunizations. You are responsible for updating all information contained in the enrollment package as long as your child is enrolled.

The Center will maintain waiting lists for each classroom group.  On these lists, children will be placed on a first-come, first-served basis, with the exception of siblings and staff children who will be given priority placement. The $75.00 application fee is required of new families in order to be placed on a waiting list. Children will be accepted from the waiting list based on: Individual development needs, Anticipated transition schedule. As movement occurs from the lists, you will be notified regarding your child’s potential placement. New families will not be removed from this list unless they specifically request to be dropped from the list or if the Center can not locate the family after several attempts.

 To get on the waiting list before scheduling a tour of the center, fill out the enrollment form (PDF) and send it in with a $75 (non-refundable) application fee.

The Center accepts children with disabilities or special needs where reasonable accommodation can be made without undue hardship on the Corporation.  In order to provide a safe and developmentally appropriate environment for children with special needs, additional communication is required.
